Leadership

We here at Faith Community Baptist Church are committed to putting forth, by

faithful study of the word of God and implementation of that word, a Biblical view of

church leadership. We believe that Biblical leadership is a gift of Christ to His church

for her encouragement in the word, care end protection.

  • Jason Montgomery

    Pastor

What a joy it is for me to serve as the pastor of Faith Community Baptist Church. By God's great grace, along with several other precious brothers and sisters in Christ, we started FCBC, December of 1998.

I did my graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary receiving in 1997 a Master of Divinity degree in which I focused on Biblical languages, primarily New Testament Greek. In December of 2018 I graduated from Southwestern again with a PhD in Historical Theology/Church History with a focus in Baptist studies, and did my dissertation on English Particular Baptist pastor Benjamin Beddome. I also serve as Adjunct Professor of Church History at IRBS Theological Seminary in Mansfield, TX.

I have been blessed in marriage for 31 years with my wife, Janice. We have seven wonderful and very busy children: Timothy (Austin, TX @ UT), Katie along with our son-in-law Jacob (Colorado), Nathan (Georgia), and Benjamin, Abigail, Averie, and Bethany still here at home.
