Who we are

We consider ourselves to be truly blessed that God in His grace has led you to us today. It is our desire by God's grace to help the church of Jesus Christ rediscover her:

  • Authority: Scripture Alone
  • Message: Grace Alone
  • Focus: Christ Alone
  • Confidence: Faith Alone
  • Purpose: The Glory of God Alone

As a church we seek to glorify God, strengthen believers through worship and the teaching of God’s word, and reach the lost with the life changing message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  ( Theological Distinctives )

We are a Reformed and Southern Baptist church located on the west side of Fort Worth. As a doctrinally reformed church, we are affiliated with the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America and the Texas Area Association of Reformed Baptist Churches, holding to the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith for our doctrinal standards. We also are associated with the Southern Baptist Convention. These are voluntary affiliations and as a body we are led by the word of God and overseen by our pastors.

We are trusting God to use our fellowship to further His purpose of displaying His eternal glory. It is our prayer today that your passions will be drawn to our blessed Savior and the focus of life for you as well will always be the glories of our God. “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36 NASB)

What We Believe

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God and the only rule of faith and practice. We believe that God is a Spirit, and that there are three Persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who became man. He took to Himself a true body, yet without sin, conceived in the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. He offered Himself a sacrifice for sins to satisfy divine justice and to reconcile man to God through faith in Him. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE that man is saved from sin by grace through faith in Christ, apart from works of the law. This spiritual birth is a work of God’s Holy Spirit, resulting in a new life of obedience to Christ and in growing likeness to Him. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer.

WE BELIEVE that at death the souls of believers pass immediately into glory, and that their bodies rest in the grave until the resurrection when these bodies will be glorified and reunited with their souls in the presence of the Lord forever. Unbelievers will be eternally separated from God in judgment. We also believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory according to His promise.

As a fuller expression of what we believe, we hold to the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith, often referred to in shorthand as the 1689. Though our ultimate authority in all matters of faith and life is the Word of God alone as recorded in the Old and New Testaments, we do find the 1689 Confession is an excellent summary of “the things most surely believed among us.” These truths have been held by those known as Particular or Reformed Baptists for years. This fuller statement of what we believe is a confirmation in faith and works to the end of the edification of the Church in the “whole counsel of God,” Acts 20:27.
